Someone poisoned one of your eight potions. They all look identical, so you can't tell the difference. One sip of the poison is lethal enough but it will only kill after an hour, however, the potions are needed one hour later so you must find the poison in this time. There are three criminals on death sentence for you to use as test subjects. What could you do to find the poisoned potion?

Give potion one to the first criminal. Potion two to the second criminal. Potion three to the first and second criminal. Potion four to the third criminal. Potion five to the first and third criminal. Potion six to the second and third criminal. Potion seven to all criminals. Each criminal takes a sip of each of the potions they were given. Depending on which exact criminals die, you can tell which exact potion had poison in it. If no criminals die, the eighth potion was poisoned.
